Breathtaking golf courses in Malaysia

A luxurious golfing and holidaying destination, The Andaman is a Luxury Collection resort set amidst the tropical jungle on Langkawi. Nestled between a ten million year old rainforest and Datai Bay home to an eight thousand year old fringing coral reef. The V Botanical Spa is an award-winning spa with integrated wellness centre that offers yoga, therapeutic lessons, meditation and spa treatments.

ELS Club Teluk Datai

The Andaman are currently offering golf packages ‘A Hole in One’ and ‘A Par Five’ at the famous ELS Club Teluk Datai. Recently redesigned by Ernie Els this is an 18 hole par 72 bunkers championship golf course that weaves its way through the ten million year old rainforest and on down to the Andaman Sea. Expect stunning views of the Mat Cincang Mountain range which dates back 600 million years and natural streams flowing through the course.

Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort, Sabah

With two wings, The Garden Wing and The Ocean Wing you can choose whether you feel like a holiday in a nature reserve or a holiday by the sea. With unobstructed views out over Pantai Dalit Beach and perched just on top of a hill you can sip at cocktails as you watch the sun set and enjoy an evening meal at the breezy beach bar and restaurant.

Try out the CHI Spa — unique to Shangri-La resorts and with holistic treatments based on Asian culture and traditions. Sense of Place CHI uses local natural botanical and herbal products for their therapeutic properties.

The Dalit Bay Golf & Country Club

An 18-hole par 72 course designed by Ted Parslow with a driving range set amidst the nature reserve is the ideal spot to enjoy a few rounds of golf. Nestled incongruously in amongst its surrounds, the golf course looks out over views of Mount Kinabalu and jungle.

Surrounded by the Tambalang and Menagkabong River and mangrove swamps the course is relaxing but challenging. Holes are punctuated with water to add to the challenge. All experiences will find the course manageable with back tees adding an extra challenge for those who feel up to it.
